The 15th ACWE is pleased to announce the 1st AWE (Advances in Wind Engineering) Student Paper Competition. The competition is open to any student author of a contribution to the 15th ACWE. Students whose abstracts are accepted by the Conference are eligible for this paper competition. Further application requirements are as follows:
- The applicant needs to submit an abstract to the conference as the leading author, and express interest in the competition by check the “AWE Student Paper Competition” box in the conference paper’s management system.
- The applicant needs to forward the abstract acceptance notification within one week of receipt from the organizers to the Editor-in-Chief of AWE Dr. Teng Wu (tengwu@buffalo.edu), and submit a full-length paper by March 31, 2025. The applicant also needs to provide valid proof of enrollment in his/her current institution. A verification letter from the faculty advisor is required at the submission of the full-length paper.
- The applicant needs to attend the conference and present the paper at the conference.
The Judging Panel (consisting of Chairman and Members from AWE Editorial Board) will select three winners of the AWE Best Student Paper Award during the conference, with each receiving a certificate and a cash prize of $500. By accepting the AWE Best Student Paper Award, the applicant implicitly agrees to submit their full-length paper to the international journal, Advances in Wind Engineering (https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/advances-in-wind-engineering).
